Health Surveillance

Occupational Health Surveillance is used by employers to protect their employees from any work-related illness and to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company standards. Absencecare monitors employees' health at work and identifies potential health problems before they become chronic.

Typical types of surveillance include:

  • Statutory medicals
  • Audiometry, vision, hearing and lung function
  • Hand and Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS)
  • Desk / workstation assessments

Surveillance is carried out either as a test or audit, and is completed by fully-qualified and experienced Occupational Health professionals. If a problem is identified with an employee, they will be referred for further assessment to Absencecare’s Occupational Health Physicians and Advisors or to the individual's GP.
